hey, well this is the first MOC i have posted here so im not sure if tolkein-esq creations count or not but here goes.
Here is my second attempt at Helms deep (the first attempt is in my gallery, so if you want a quick laugh take a gander)
I built this using standard bricks where usuable, certain areas are obviously wall parts but i couldnt get the right look with bricks
hopefully sometime next week i can put in the rest of the stair well to the top of the keep and perhaps the horn tower (i ran out of bricks during initial construction :!: )
Anyway for your veiwing pleasure i present,

Hey Matt,
Of course Tolkien-esque creations are welcome here. Else I wouldn't be able to post. As I said on FBTB, I really like the rounded walls using hinges and the recessed gate. Nice work. It's cool that we've seen several different takes on this same scene--yours, mine, Jon Furman's, Rick Ruiz's (in progress). It's always cool to get different interpretations. This is actually one reason why I wouldn't be too excited to have an official LotR license. Actually, I've seen several different cool Hogwarts MOC's, so maybe this isn't a valid argument (though Hogwarts MOC's do tend to follow the same color scheme as the official sets. Hmm, I'll have to think on that one).
