Yes this is a stunning piece of work. It is great to see Gabe building again and this MOC surely doesn't disappoint. The texturing on the stone walls is very nice as well as all the wooden timber sections and areas of splattered plaster. The rockwork looks natural as well, which adds a lot to the MOC. Also, those olive trees with the pink blossoms are just lovely... :)

Hey all,

Gabe's amazing Ka-Riel Mill is now an item for sale as part of the annual Creations for Charity fundraiser. Creations for Charity is an AFOL-driven fundraiser where AFOLs donate MOCs, custom items, rare LEGO items, etc for sale. All proceeds go to purchase LEGO sets for needy kids (in the USA I believe they distribute through Toys for Tots, I believe similar charitable organizations are used in other parts of the world). Well known community member Nannan Zhang is the point person for this. Last year they purchased over $20,000 worth of sets, which went to kids in six cities in three countries. You can learn more on the Creations for Charity website and purchase items through their Bricklink store.

I had thought I had featured this mill on the front page earlier this year when Gabe first posted it, but it doesn't look like I did. So I'm glad this posting gives me the opportunity to both feature a great MOC and highlight a great community initiative.

This is wonderful! Not only the superb building (the stone foundation really can hardly be done any better, same for rocks, trees and the composition of the ground), its also good to know the charity project behind it :)

I love this MOC, and it is fantastic that Gabe is donating this to C4C. I just wish I had the money to buy it.
