Neuschwanstein Castle - Gatehouse

Post by Adolfo »

Hello, fellow castlers!

For a long time I have been following Classic Castle and all tips to build MOCs in this theme and now I'm ready to begin to post my creations here.

This project was a dream that come true when I got all the bricks to do that. Of course it’s my version of just one part of the all magical castle, specially the choice to use the white color on back wall (the original is a kind yellow), but I liked the final effect to the Gatehouse.

I built this MOC for Expo LUG Brasil 2013 and during the Expo, with the help of others AFOLs, we created some scenes to complete the layout around the castle. There are more pictures on my Flickr for them.

For the next year, I`m planning to build other big castle. It´s only missing some parts to fill the inventory and maybe after our event here in Brazil, in November, I`ll have the opportunity to do this task.

So, see you all soon!

Very impressive replica. I like the clean style and you did a great job capturing the architectural style :)

Wow, I love your clean and simple style. I wouldn't have thought that a castle without greebles could look that good. Great job!

Wow, what a great way to introduce yourself here. That's a beautiful rendition of the front of Neuschwanstein. I especially like the details on the balcony on the back side. The photography is so clean and crisp that I thought it was a digital creation at first.

Thank you for your comment, Bruce!
That's because I've been preparing to introduce myself here for a long time and I hope keep building in castle theme also for many years.
The pictures are great because the original castle is magic! I'm a lucky guy to have all pieces to reproduce the gatehouse.

Nice work, so clean, I love it. I can tell from the picture it is bigger than you might think.
