Caergrant Palace

Post by bps7772000 »

Displayed at Brickfair 2014 Virginia last weekend. I was right next to Todd Butler's Obsidian Castle II. Mine was literally like a shack in it's backyard.

Also thanks to my brother for the pictures who is a serious amateur photographer as far as I'm concerned.

Really cool and imposing. I'd hate to try to besiege this castle. Some nice details - just enough so as to break up the plain-ness but not so much as to look cluttered.

Definitely the slopes effect at the base of the castle made all difference in the final look. Very interesting.

Saw this at Brickfair and let me say it's one of the best castles I have seen in a very long time, it definitely deserved the nomination for best castle it received. The pictures do not do it justice. The roof technique (can't see it here) alone is fantastic, and it's packed with details. Congratulations, and I really look forward to seeing what you do for next year's BFVA!
