K thanks! I will probably hold off on entering at this point then, the moc is really dependent on the 'wow' factor from the function.Bluesecrets wrote:

A catapult with wheels would be considered a vehicle right?

Do our entries have to be posted in the forums, or can we just use the uploader?
If they have to be submitted to the forums, is there a dedicated entry thread?
Thanks!

25) No, they do not have to be posted in the forums (I won and never posted it in the forums before). There is not dedicated entry thread. You have to submit them with the entry form. They will be approved and entered in the contest from there.Do our entries have to be posted in the forums, or can we just use the uploader?

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12
I had a couple more questions.
1) Is there overhang allowed? Something minor like a tree branch being 1-2 studs over the base limit.
2) For the out with the new, if our collection is not large enough to use old colours and parts, would it be allowed to use stickers for the wall panels to have them look like the old grey printed ones? And will the entry not be judged as high for using new colours or say using one of these instead of two of these and one of these?
Thank you and good luck to all those entering.

Hello Admins,
First off, I want to thank you all for being so patient, and answering our many questions. You guys are awesome!
Question:
I am slightly confused by "The Best Intentions" category. What are we supposed to be building? Something that went wrong in an area that includes tents/pavilions?
Thank you,
~Matthew~

Hey, I'm having a bit of difficulty with the image on the entry form. I made a topic about it and got no response, here's a link to the topic so you can see what I'm talking about.

26. Yes. A small amount of overhang for tree branches and leaves has been permitted in the past.man at ye old well wrote:Is there overhang allowed? Something minor like a tree branch being 1-2 studs over the base limit.
27. No. You can only use official castle set stickers from before 1990 in this category. For the out with the new, if our collection is not large enough to use old colours and parts, would it be allowed to use stickers for the wall panels to have them look like the old grey printed ones?
28. Yes. The pieces used influence the overall building techniques of the set or moc.

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12
I tend to build irregular bases. Is it OK if the total length or wideness of the base surpasses the limits by 2 or 3 studs in some corners? Or it has to be exactly a maximum of 48x48

31. No. I also tend to build organic shaped bases. However in fairness to all entrants, please keep your base design within the 48x48 or 32x64 limits. Thanks.Cesbrick wrote:I tend to build irregular bases. Is it OK if the total length or wideness of the base surpasses the limits by 2 or 3 studs in some corners? Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12
I need some clarification before I can answer. If we are allowed to use decals for torsos and shields in every category, are we also allowed to modify those parts with photoshop ?
Are you talking about using photoshop to make the decals? Or photoshop to edit the picture of the fig so you don't have to make a decal?

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12
Thank you so far for the answers to my questions and the many others.
I have only one more. Again, for the out with the new, would one be able to use a piece that came out at the time, in a colour that was around at that time but that piece in that colour was not around at the time.
