CCCXII - Castle Siege; The Siege of Bijkird

Post by josdu »

Here is my second entry to the CCC Castle Siege category. The focus was on the breach and the trebuchet though, so the wall ain't that great, but I hope you like the breach (as well as the trebuchet) ! Enjoy:

The breach looks excellent, though I will say the trebuchet would benefit from cleaner lines.

Thank you my friends :) ! Hmm, what exactly do you mean by clearer lines?

Less stair-step shaping on the trebuchet and more bricks at an angle. Holding the ends of two plates with a SNOT brick or Technic pin would enable you to produce a classic "A frame" shape for the side supports. Another option would be hinge pieces.

Exactly as mrcpd says. Just be sure to have enough reinforcement so the frame does not collapse. Hinges can be finicky. I hope that helps! :)

OK, thanks guys, I think I get the idea, but I don't believe I have enough pieces. Still next time I'll try!
