As the guards locked the door behind them, the miller's daughter began to weep. How could she ever hope to turn all of this straw into gold? As if such a thing were even possible...What fate would meet her in the morning when the king returned?

Suddenly there was a popping sound behind her, and as she turned around she beheld a tiny man. "Why do you weep, young lass?" he inquired in a slightly scratchy voice. She explained her dire situation, he began to chuckle. "My dear, no need to worry! Why, in no time at all, I can have this straw into gold for you!" Upon hearing this, the young woman shrieked with delight, "yes, yes! thank you very much!"

"Okay then, lassie, if you will just please take a look at these terms and conditions, release of liability and contract of remunerations, and then please just sign at the bottom of pages 1, 2, 3, and 5...there we go, and now we can begin!"

And then, without so much as another word, the little man began to dance and hop. As he began to spin the straw, gold scattered all over the floor of the tiny tower room. The miller's daughter was delighted!
