Last minute submission by another dad and daughter team (daughter is long asleep).
The Tower of Invindra is a magic school built around a floating tree of life. It's a castle for the castle contest --Large Miscellaneous Category. I'm still a classic castle guy, so I'm still partial to the 1x5 panels, and if you squint really hard at the first picture, you can still see 6080.
Even though I'm partial to the Crusaders, I always liked the Dragon Knights (they had dragons!), and decided that every magic school needs a dragon nest.
Other photos may be found here.
Hope you like the MOC. We certainly had fun building it.

wow, this is huge and with some great details! not a panel fan myself, but the taller parts in particular are very interesting.

Thanks! The tower tops out at 3 feet. I blatantly copied, err, derived a lot of inspiration from DNZ's Phrean.Dubbadgrim wrote:wow, this is huge and with some great details! not a panel fan myself, but the taller parts in particular are very interesting.
Thanks! Actually my daughter did that (along with the hatchlings, the eggs, and the plate of food).LittleJohn wrote:Great castle! I like the dragon's posing

HUGE build The cleaner wall style works well on such a large scale and I like the middle tower with 'floating' sections a lot

Thanks. I was trying to make this an utilitarian and defensible castle with a more fantasy flair... so stairs and bridges to nowhere and hanging towers.soccerkid6 wrote:HUGE build The cleaner wall style works well on such a large scale and I like the middle tower with 'floating' sections a lot

Thanks! It works better this way, since I now have an excuse to buy more Legos when I'm shopping, and she's always telling Mom that I said ok to buy something when they're shopping.blairsun5 wrote:That is great!!!! Love that you build with your daughter too.
