Alchemy; The Art of Egypt
Alchemy; The Art of Egypt
Just a fun build, I'm am curious about how much you guys like the wall, I used almost all my grey clips! Btw, I derived inspiration from a couple of paintings. Oh and yes, the title of Alchemy (and thus Chemistry) comes from "The Art of Egypt".

I really like the floor and the bookshelf, but my favorite part is the stand made with the technic wheel
As far as the wall texturing goes I think the clips look a little odd. Something more like this might look better:
Keep up the good work

Very cool MOC! There are a lot of different ways to create stone looking walls. I usually like the more rugged ones unless it's supposed to be a "newer" structure. I also think the better walls use a mixture of random and order. Your wall looks great. I feel like you have to build them a few times before you find the stone style that works best for your building style. Great build. Keep up the good work!

I think the wall texture is fantastic. I may try that myself sometime!

Well, I must say I don't really like the wall, there's a bit too much of... everything. It would serve great as greebles of some spaceship.
But I'd advice you to try a similar technique, but limited only to Dark Gray. The effect might be stunning if you work this out well.
I like the idea of the blue tablecloth, the detail's realistic indeed.

I kind of like the wall, but I must say it looks better in the small picture here than when you click the link and see it more clearly. Probably needs more work, but you might be on to something. The legs as the back of the chair is a neat touch by the way.
