Here's my entry for the Castle Goes to Space Contest. This is my spaced out version of Set 7079: Drawbridge Defense.

Here is my entry, the Polaris Sorcery Tower:

It is a castlization (is that word?) of the Polaris I Space Lab, released in 1987 and that I was always fascinated with as a kid. Instead of a Space Lab, the evil magic users have built a tower of sorcery. Basil, Majisto and Willa use their arcane talents to practice summoning.

In lieu of the rocket slides, I have included wheeled transport carts. Instead of lunar craters, we have a small stand of pine trees. I have also replaced the two flying machines of the original with the obligatory catapult and a ferocious dragon.

This is my (first) entry for the Castle goes to space contest.

I tried to turn 75020 "Jabba's Sail Barge" into "Jabba's War Barge".

R2 has found a kilt and some shiny armor to join the fight. Weequay has found himself an Uruk-hai outfit and hopes to shoot the top-mounted-spear-guns. Ree-yees quickly strapped on some armor and took a sword from the hidden armory behind the paddles. (Un)fortunately Jabba provided the prinses with a nice evening gown on the eve of battle. He himself finnaly took a bib to catch his spit when eating, though he is also ready to rumble. Last but not least is master Max Rebo, hidden from sight and to be used as the last ultimate weapon against the enemy. Nothing can penetrate his asian body armor or avoid his blazing golden swords.

EndNote: It took me some days building this beast; carefully transforming it into the right colours and giving it the right appearance. The best part is that it gave me so much fun to transform the minifigs into castle related figures. I couldn't find anything for R2 (I was checking for crowns to fit etc.) and then I found the kilt. And it even fits!

I'll hope you all at least have a giggle whilst looking at it, then I succeeded. Good luck everyone!

The Solar Mill Raid
This is my "Castle Goes to Space" version of the Kingdoms set 7189 Mill Village Raid.

Even in Space the noble profession of farming continues. This time raising the local alien animals and following new techniques to harness renewable wind and solar energies.

The overall scene

The roofs double as landing pads for small transports or mini crop dusters.

Here is my first entry, 1843 Space/Castle Value Pack (Seriously, I just HAD to do this set, only set that has both Space and Castle in it, plus it holds a lot of nostalgia, as it is my 3rd oldest set.)

Comparing with the original

And my second entry, 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost, one of my all time favorite sets.

And with the original Blacktron set.

Here is my second entry for the Castle Goes to Space Contest. It's a castlefied version of 75040: General Grievous' Wheel Bike.

I redesigned the set 6899, Nebula Outpost, into a castle watchtower.

This time, I chose to redesign the set 5890, Squidman's Pitstop, into a medieval blacksmith shop. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and it was very fun transforming the space details in the set into medieval features.

I can't say I really "built" anything, but I wanted to post something:

Squidman Escape

This is (obviously) based on 5969 Squidman Escape. I wanted to use a black saddle, but I couldn't find one. Also, a better quality shield would have been fabulous.

Despite it's simplicity, I discovered a possibly rare part variant while assembling this...
