Do we need to be on Flickr?
Dear Community members, myself and my daughter are new to Classic Castle but love building Lego. We would like to upload pictures of our MOCs for comment and feedback. It seems that a lot of builders are on Flickr, do we need to join Flickr or are there other sharing sites members of the community would advise we join. Thanks for your help and advice. Mike & Libby

You don't have to join anywhere if you already have a place to host your photos. We don't host them here at CC.
Flickr is a free place with a huge amount free space. A lot of people use it, including myself. It has issues and we all grumble when they do strange updates, but it is the place I continue to stay at. There are many communities and groups there that are solely LEGO, but it isn't a LEGO site.
Brickshelf is also a free place that is solely devoted to LEGO. It is a much older site and with that comes pros and cons. It can be unstable in terms of it will take time for photos to appear. It can go down for a period of time. No comments can be made, you can't favorite people or follow them. But a lot of us like keeping accounts there.
Other people have their own websites. Some are using social media. There is MOCpages. And probably more sites than I can possibly name.
Basically, find the one you like the best and use it.

Mike and Libby,
First up, welcome to CC! Great to have more cross generational builders here. Blue gave the main options. Brickshelf and MOCpages are LEGO-only but more limited in functionality and reliability. Flickr has more function speed and more reliable but not just LEGO. All 3 are free. One thing on Flickr since I'm guessing your daughter is young is that you will want to be there with her, since it is all types of images and not all are family friendly (not hard core, but there are things I wouldn't want my 8-year old girl to see).
