CCC XIII - Helgrim Siege

Seventh gate leading to the Dwarven City of Helgrim is under attack by a malicious Lich lord and his undead minions, while the recently turned peasants distract the guards the undying elite sneak up to the gate, while barred and reinforced it may soon be broken down by one of the Lich lords summoned Bone Golems so the dwarven Copperdrake clan's commander of the guard is speaking some courage into his men.

I had a lot of plans and ideas for this, originally it was going to be underground with an overarching rock cavern but my limited collection (and skill) prevented me from completing that version, then I rebuild it into an outside entrance.

In the end I managed to just barely complete this in time for the deadline and with all the amazing builders entering the CCC I can't help but feel dead on arrival.

That said even though I'm not really active on these forums I've tremendously enjoined seeing everybodies amazing builds, if anybody has any advice or suggestions I always appreciate it and thanks for looking.

edit* final notes, the ballista tower is accessible via the stairs like the lookout tower even though closed off, there is a wooden hatch not visible on the photo's. It may not be clear but 'Chain' is protecting the Lich, and even is pierced by one of the ballista's projectiles.

I like this a lot. Both armies are quite unique, and it's easy to see you put lots of effort into the fig combos.
The gate itself looks appropriate for a dwarven entrance, and the cliff backdrop helps with that feel. I'm always fond of interiors, and yours is helped by the fact that you have action going on inside.
There's always a ton of stunning entries to the CCC, but I think you should be quite proud of yours, it's one of my personal favorites for the siege category

Those sand green masonary bricks look good. Overall, a good combination of warriors!. Good luck.
