The fourth and final phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. I'll have a collage picture up soon, showing all the seasons together.
Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Winter brings snow and ice to the countryside, and an unusual quiet, as most animals are in hibernation of have migrated to warmer climates. Fortunately a good harvest has provided plenty of food for the castle’s residents. Inside a feast is begun, and the minstrels are just arriving.

Re: Arangr Castle: Winter
Very cool. I love all of the little details like the fact that there is more smoke coming out of the chimney, suggesting that they're really stoking the fires, the white stickshifts as frozen plants, the guard wearing a scarf, the fact that the shutters are closed, also all of the little snow accents. That cardinal in the tree is great as well, a real winter bird. BTW, where does the guitar-print 2x2 round tile come from (minor quibble, it's backward - the strings should go from the bridge towards the neck, you've got them pointing the opposite way)?
It's been really fun to watch this project go through the stages, and also really amazing how you cycled so quickly from one to the next. If anyone hasn't looked at all of the pictures, you really should:

And winter in this thread. Here's a quick composite shot to see the changes:

Thanks Bruce! That guitar print is from a Winter Village set, the Post Office I believe, and yes, I accidentally put it on upside down Didn't notice till after the photo shoot.Bruce N H wrote:Very cool. And that's a great photo edit there! I plan to make a high definition version myself
