Contest: Woo Your Princess, but Fail Miserably -Winner
It's almost spring! And we could use a little fun around here. In the grand tradition that Aliencat and I started some years ago, it's time for a fun!
So...announcing:
The Woo Your Princess, but Fail Miserably Contest!
The premise:
There she is and she is SO beautiful, every single thing you’d ever want in a princess (or prince...if you'd rather have a maiden try to win over the prince...you KNOW you want to bring out your Willa for this!). Time to bring out your very best because you aren’t the only one vying for her (or his) attention, the bigger the better, right? But you fail! And fail miserably. Fail so bad that people cringe and laugh just thinking about your fail. It is a fail of epic proportions! A fail for all the ages! (It's a huge fail...get it?)
So the rules, you know we have to have a few of those.
1) Build a MOC with a suitor trying to woo, but failing so huge (as stated above)
2) Size? Sure we have a size limit...your footprint needs to be limited to 32x32. Think a supersized vignette.
3) Can I overhang? Well...sure but overhang isn't building over the footprint, it's just some leaves or something hanging a little over.
4) Is there a height restriction? Nope
5) Can I use custom stuff...you know third party stuff, custom stickers, string? Ah...nope, lets keep the fun to LEGO this time please
6) Photos...I have 2 requests.
a) Please put them in a set or folder...it just makes life easier
b) If you need to do something wild and crazy with lighting, feel free but know this...if I can't see what you built, it isn't going to do as well as it could if it was visible.
So basically, take as many pictures as you want, as big as you want...it will be all good if you read A and B.
7) Place your entries in this thread please: http://classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26410
8. You can enter up to three times.
9) Oh and please...keep it TOS appropriate. No nudity or sex. We want you to be able to enter the contest with your build, not be disqualified.
10) Anyone but me can enter.
Prize?
It is figs, castle figs, cool castle figs...

Timeline:
Okay ready set...go! You have until April 2nd at 9 pm EST (server time).
Please limit your comments and questions to this thread only. Again, there will be an entry thread to make finding entries easier for me.
Enjoy...have fun!!!!! I can't wait to giggle at the builds of the epic fails at wooing.

Not easy to get a good idea but I'll give it a go: it can double over as an entry to some other contest, right? Built starting now of course. And must the idea be original, or can it come from a movie/book or something?

I've built something, just need to photograph it. I take it there's no minimum size? I tend to work best on 8x8-16x16.

Size for the build? or size for the photos? The build is 32x32 limit. It can be smaller if you like. Photos, I am fine with whatever size you want to make them and however many you need to have to show me your build.andhe wrote:I've built something, just need to photograph it. I hope that answers your questions. If not, please ask again or send me a private message.

Can we change the dimensions as long as it is 1,024 square studs or less?

It needs to fit within the 32x32 footprint.Mark of Siloam wrote:Can we change the dimensions as long as it is 1,024 square studs or less?
