Ishikawa Dojo

Post by Andrew JN »

This was built for the "Flag Your Kingdom" contest. The flag I chose was the less common, Samurai X flag from the Samurai X Cave Chaos set. I went with an oriental theme, since I assume that Japanese Samurai are considered a medieval kingdom of sorts. Thus, I built a dojo and some Samurai minifigs. By the way, I'm sorry that the horns on the dark silver and red helmet ARE custom, as are the yellow leaves. If this disqualifies this entry, I understand :)

Also, I don't own a 48x48 baseplate, but the dimensions are 44x36 studs, and you can verify that with the picture above.
I hope this entry is alright, if not, fine by me :)
I had a lot of fun building this, especially since I've never built anything like this before. Thanks to those hosting this contest!

The mix of regular and dark green in the landscape looks great here. Tremendous build all around :D

Awesome! The SNOT baseplate turned out really well, still while the colors blended really well, even the tree, using a blaring bright color, mixed in with the scenery, overall great job!

Great MOC. I love that purple tree in particular. Lots to love all around - the shape of the footprint, the mix between the grass and water, that little bridge, the way you did the roof are some of my favorite parts.
