Grimhold Castle

A recent build of mine:

Grimhold Fortress has been a plague to the surrounding country for years, robing and murdering all who pass near it, even large trade groups. Because of this, despite the castle's almost impregnable position, a large band of warriors from the garrison's of the villages lying near have set out to take the castle by siege and then tear it to the ground.
Hope you like this build, which is for the CBC's Siege category on flickr!

Awesome job josdu! Great color schemes, it works well with the architecture! Keep it up! Great overall build! Keep it up!

Very nice. Some of my favorite bits are the tall black arched parts with the recessed gray near the bottom - that really helps the feel of this thing stretching upward. Also the inclusion of log bricks in a few places gives a nice hint of texture to the walls. Also, that's a sweet little trebuchet that would warrant a posting all by itself.

BTW, how in the heck did you build this and a SHIP at the same time?!?!?!?

Thank you Bruce! Oh I just have a good deal of time and am more or less fast (for clarification, I had already destroyed the castle when I began the SHIP - my parts collection would not allow me to do otherwise ;) ). And don't look now, but I have another build for the CBC's Ultimate Battle coming up :eyebrows: .
