In the Ghetto, in the ghetto... and the goblin cries...

Post by Athos »

Hey all,

Spent another Sunday afternoon making a new creation. Based loosely on the computer game Majesty, I decided I needed a goblin hovel. Thought my little village needed some slums. So here it is (and apologies to Elvis):

This was a quite different from any other creation I've tried so far. It was hard trying to get the thrown together look, but not have it look like something a 4 year old made. Again, I tried to make it something that Lego might have made as an official set. I'm not entirely pleased with it yet, and I'm thinking of making another one, but mostly out of plates. Maybe next Sunday.

Pretty nice. It has a real gobblinish look to it. It does look thrown together and I kinda like it. I don't know if I like the read though. Maybe more green and brown?
Space rocks.

It, er.... looks like the houses I made in the old days when I felt compelled to use every last piece in SOME sort of standing creation. Not a very pleasant sight at times. So, seeing as these are goblins, I guess that would be a compliment.

Well, I see you have some left-over probably usless pieces.
Good for goblins.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

To tell you the truth I don't like it...just because the bricks are thrown together...doesn't mean the colors have to be as well...and LEGO would never release a set like that...it has too many bricks...and minifigures...

That's the whole point of making MOCs: LEGO would never release such a set. That's also why it's often so frustrating to make a MOC: too many bricks and figs to get conveniently.
