Town square
Town square
Hello all!
My first published MOC's up on Brickshelf.
It's my little town square with a shop, an inn and a council chamber.

Hey Joel,
Looking good. As with Formendacil, I particularly like the life you've put into it with the figs. The building on the right (the one with the green roofline) is a little flat and would benefit from breaking up the vertical shape. The cart is very nice, also the little pavilion with the red roof (well?), and I like that custom torso in the council chamber a lot.
Welcome to the world of on-line MOCery.

Joel,
I like the gate to the new fortress especially. On Forester's suggestion, another thing you could do is to drape a light-colored sheet behind the MOC as a backdrop. I think that would help avoid the MOC getting lost in the darkness. I use a desk lamp for lighting, but you have to play with the angles of the lamp/MOC/camera to avoid getting reflected glare.

Excelent MOC, I'll agree on the flatness of the building fronts they do need some depth. All of the scenes you photographed are wonderful, the thief-pirate is the best of all. The fortress in also quite impressive, very good texture and detail. The entrance has that forboding look, like walking in a fiery skull.
Keep up the nice work.
