Big Bull Knight Figs

Post by Purple Wolf »

So I saw the large Ant-man fig and I wanted to make my own large fig so this is what happens.

I'm very happy how I got some of them to look but mainly the helmets as I actually didn't think I would be able to recreate them at this scale. Yes they aren't exactly like the figs in manly the torso armor and such but I wasn't really going for complete accuracy. Actually I wasn't planning on making all three I originally made just one who ended up looking like Gilbert and then slowly made the second which become a Weezil look-a-like. The I was just like screw it I'll do all three.

Comments and criticism is welcome.

Great job on these, the chain mail and other decorations are clever and work very well! Also great patch and weapons! Only I would mention the unpurist marker.. ;)

Thanks. Sadly the marker was a last resort. I tried for a really long time to get a mouth a purist way but alas I could nit find a way.

I suppose there's this brick:

but that's not the right size, plus it would require a re-design of the head. I thought there was a 1x2 that was a just a smile but I don't see it in my skim through bricklink.

These are awesome. I particularly like the armor on the right-hand guy. Also the belt buckles. Great job.

There are 1x4 smiles, but that wouldn't work very well for those heads. Too wide (Random fact: those smiles also come in red)

These are fantastic! The armor on each is sublime, and I can easily see the resemblance to their minifig versions. Love how well the shield fits into the torso of the middle one too :)

I actually thought of it but sadly the head/face is only three wide.

Thanks. The armor was probably my favorite part to do.

These are really something! Quite recognizable, and it took a little while for me to figure out the scale. Looks like a fun new scale to work in :)

I think the hotdog is or will soon be available in black. Using a clip and adjusting the position of the hot dog in the clip, I'll bet you could get a suitable result for a purist mouth that way.

Thanks! I'm actually surprised I haven't seen more people do this.

Yeah it has been in black for a while the only problem in how the head is designed using it didn't give the right shape for the head. I may try a slight redesign later.

Those turned out nice. I may have to steal some of your designs for a project I've been thinking about.

So much nostalgia. These are great! I love the way you used the Bull shield. The bucket handles are a genius solution for the belt buckles.

Thanks man. The bucket handles where probably the last edition to the whole thing but am glad at how well it turned out. I just wish I could get red eyes for the bull on the shield. Oh well I figure something out.
