Hi! This is my entry for Round 2 of the Middle Earth Lego Olympics! My category was Gondor, so I decided to build a wall section of Minas Tirith!

Onto the build:

No WIP pictures this time, as I just wanted to chug through this one without any advice... :D

This build is roughly a cubic foot, it's length is a little longer, and it's height is a little short... Also, it is probably around 2200 pieces... So, Minas Tirith is a very monochromatic subject, as you can see, most of the build is in the greyscale. Which in my opinion makes the market scenery pop out, and really gives the action to the figs, what the scene is about... I hope you enjoyed! This was a fun one!

Good luck Sean! May the best Gondorian win! :D

C&C Appreciated!

To God be the glory!

Excellent build Roanoke! The architecture is quite nice, and the cobblestone design fits nicely here. I understand the look you're going for with all the grey, though I think that it might get a little overwhelming at this scale; just a little touch of color in one or two more spots would be nice. Overall fantastic job though, keep up the good work! :)

Thanks John! Yeah, the grey is kinda bland and boring, but because Minas Tirith is a white city, I was already stretching the color by going with lt. bley, so I didn't wanna do any dk. grey, for accuracy to the actual thing... Thanks again!

It really does look like Minas Tirith. Love the large curved wall and SNOT arch connecting it to the tower.
I do agree with John that just a little more color here or there could really make it pop. After looking up pictures of Minas Tirith, it looks as though the roofs of buildings are often different colors than the standard/white bley. Black, dark bley, sand green, sand red, and sand blue would fit well there.

I'm jealous of your olive green grass  it adds a nice extra level of detail to the cobblestone.

Thanks Isaac! Yeah, I didn't look close enough to the rooves, because when I looked again, it was obvious that there are different colored rooves... :? Anyways, thanks again! Yeah, I got those olive green leaves last year in a BL order, and they have been super useful thus far! :D
