Hi all,

I'm very sad to come here to note the passing of Arthur Gugick. He was killed in a car accident a few days ago (obituary here). Arthur was a father, a math teacher from Ohio, and an AFOL known for his recreations of architectural landmarks (often microscale) and his mosaics. You can see his work in his Flickr stream or on his personal website. Here are just a few that are of particular note to castle builders:

I never met him aside from sharing comments online, but from his and others' Flickr I know he went to multiple cons, so many of you may have met him before.

I am very sad to hear this news and want to wish my condolences to Arthur's family and friends. I was fortunate enough to have met Arthur at several conventions and see his outstanding architectural and mosaic work. His enthusiasm for building was contagious. He would always take an interest in your creations as well. Arthur will be missed.
