So I want to spend February discussion castle minifigs.

Show off your army or armies.

Tell us how you decided to make them.

Ask questions about how it was made or how you got your parts.

I'm going to run a fig specific contest. That will pop up today or tomorrow.

And we can make a thread in the BST forum just for trading and asking for fig specific parts.

This is one step I thing we can do to try and get some more activity around here.

I keep 5 armies:
1) Black Falcons are my number one go to. I love their colors. Their classic sense.
2) Scorpion Knights are my number two. Although, I think I actually have more of them than my Black Falcons...they are just as pretty. I am a Scorpion so they have the extra coolness factor. They can play evil or good.
3) Although I am not a fan of the color brown (except for chocolate, dr. pepper and roast beast), my Wolfpack holds a precious place. I haven't built anything specific just for them, but I do collect them.
4) My desert army...it's eclectic. It's colorful. It's necessary for the desert castle building me. It's pretty much the only one of my armies that I don't keep traditional.
5) Forestmen because why the heck wouldn't I have forestmen? They are just beyond cool.

Now if you know me, then you know I have a 6th army...my ant army. I think I'm close to 1000 ants. They are always up to no good.

I think there's a few more... And there's a few Castle theme factions I haven't put armies together for yet...

Eventually all will have castles or other lairs or homes.

I'll probably always be first and foremost a minifig hoarder. I enjoy playing with the combos, and it's a fun thing to tinker with when you don't have time to dedicate to an actual MOC.

I have several large armies, but my current project involves building a "Golden Company", which is coming along pretty nicely. I am sourcing the helms and shields from a "seasonal purchasing opportunity", so it will be a few months until it is completed. I'll try to remember to post pictures once it is assembled.

Castle minifigs are the best kind of army building minifigs, therefore, it is my theme with the most minifigs, at over 900. This does include LotR, a number of microfigs, and skeletons. I recently got my first Dragon Masters, which meant I actually have every faction of castle. Here is my Castle theme breakdown:

Hello,started collecting in 1990,ten years later Bricklink opened,and it was dirt cheap to buy mini figures.And my problem begain!,30 years later and yes I'm a hoarder!! I didn't think it was a problem,and now I need to add a room on to my house.So the list is:

I don't have much army minifigures. At present I only have 1 Blue Lion Soldier. Who sits proudly at the front gate of all of my castles. You can see him in my Great Heist Entry, he is up the top of the white tower in the 2nd picture. I'm planning to buy about 14 more Blue Lion Soldiers, but I have to wait until they come down really cheap. I only have a student budget. I think the non-fantasy castle minifigures are the best and that it is better to have lots of one army rather then a little bit of each.

I think the key is a LOT of MONEY

yeah When you look at Bricklink the price is like $5-$10 for a used black falcon...

Because I don't have a very big budget I only get the torsos, and not worry about the whole Minifigure. Torsos for black falcons are only about $3

yeah but the black helmets are rare too...
