March: Buildings for your Village Contest

Post by Bluesecrets »

So I wasn't going to run a contest this month, but since many of us are now at home for a couple of weeks...why not?

In keeping with our theme of Buildings for your Village, build one. But there needs to be some restrictions here. That would be in terms of size please. Limit yourself to 32x32 please. Just because well we're talking village buildings. They weren't giant.

So the rules.
1) You have from this moment until March 31st.
2) It's all about the building but feel free to make it look good. But if I can't see the building...well...you won't score well. Seriously...it is about the building.
3) One building per entry please.
4) You may enter...hmm...twice seems good.
5) Pictures...can you please not put a dark background on a dark building? I need to be able to see. Other than that...make yourself happy.
6) Post on this thread.
7) I will come up with a prize.
8) (I hate that smilie) Please no micro for this contest.
9) And like nothing but real LEGO parts.

Ask me questions if I forgot anything...I probably did.

Is digital OK as long as it real/production parts? I've been trying out stud.io a lot recently but don't have much time to brick build.

As long as you can get a reasonable amount of parts in the real world for what you are building, sure. Kind of like for the CCC, if you can't get 1000 chrome gold 1x1 round plates (not Chrome Bricks ones), then yeah you can't do that.

Thanks for hosting this Blue! Wouldn't have gotten around to this build without the extra encouragement :)

So I have a prize on the way. I will probably have to delay shipping on it because of this dang virus too. Sigh...stupid virus.

I will judge this tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

I am delayed because I can't chose. I am going to have to get a guest judge to help. The prize came though.

Sorry for missing the deadline, but finally finished this 'build' that I'd been working on then tried to finish for the contest... Continuing my 're-obsession' with all things pre-2000 castle, that the current lack of castle has drawn me back to (if that makes any sense).

The Black Wolf Inn (aka Wolfpack Tavern) where the Wolfpack meet in secret (?) to plot and count their loot. Where a hog is always roasting and there's a secret escape route through the fireplace(?!!) should the sheriff's men come searching :D
