Micro church by Estrand

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Estrand has a microscale church or fortress on Brickshelf:

I like that this has a more landscaped feel than most microscale buildings.

I agree that it is very well-landscaped. And it looks like a great church in mircoscale, although same design in fig/set scale would really not look that special. Funny how that works.

Hello!

I've seen this on BrickShelf, too. And the funny thing is it is a rendition of the vintage LEGO set 309 from 1958 ( http://guide.lugnet.com/set/309_2 ) but it looks much better in this microscale environment.

The design of the church is more or less a common church style in Jutland, the Danish area around LEGO's headquarter.

Pretty nice. The landscaping is well done and the church isn't something to hoot and holler about but it's still nice.

This may or may not look good in minifig scale. It wouldn't be anything special but would still look nice.
Space rocks.

If it were scaled up, I'm sure that the details from the larger scale would serve to make it "work."

It looks very nice, both the church and the spaceship, and the church looks similar to tha ones found in the south of Sweden as well.

I wonder however, where did the piece on the spaceship with the crowned and winged red lion come from?

Would make a nice shield, do'nt you think?

Great detailing for microscale, but I most of all like the choice of the grates for the path. Interesting.
