Hey,

You've just discovered Takeshi Itou, IMO the top fantasy castle builder out there (with Bob Carney as the top realistic castle builder). Takeshi doesn't speak English very well, so he's never participated in any of these English-language forums, but if you e-mail him (there's a link on his website) you'll probably get a reply.

That thread in Admin about VIPs and stuff makes more sense now.

Every few months, a new member discovers Takeshi Itou and posts in here. Yes, his stuff is amazing and brilliant. Wish he took slightly larger pictures though...

Anyway, Takeshi Itou is very inspiring. A few ideas I've had in recent years have already been done by Itou, and with more grandeur and elegance than I can muster. All CC members would be wise to look at his stuff, for it is the best in it's class.

Exactly. For me, Castle Element is one of the most enspiring lego sites I have ever come across. The fact that some fans are missing out on Takeshi's great creations is dissapointing to say the least.

Takeshi is one of castle lego's greatest masters. I would only rank Jojo, Bob Carney, and Jon Furman as his equals. Simply put, if you haven't seen Castle Element, you don't know what castle lego is all about. These builders show you the full potential of lego bricks, and should not go overlooked.

Later.

Wow I've never seen Jon Furman's Brickshelf Folder before and I'm definitely missing out!

Anyhow, looking at the folders mentioned above is both good AND bad. Good, because you realize the potential of LEGO bricks (as Blueandwhite pointed out), and because it makes me want to take out my bricks!

However, once I get into my LEGO room it's BAD because it's in such a mess (i.e. boxes everywhere, resulting in no building space) and also, I'll never be able to build something as cool as the stuff in the above folders!

Wow! Can that guy landscape or what?

He did an awesome job on those. The castles blend perfectly with the landscape. This guy is truly a gifted builder.

Wow, this stuff is pretty intense... if one of my castle was that spectacular, I would be set... I expecially like the Mist Lake castle... his hills/waterfalls are just spectacular, the way he molds castles with landscape.... But all of his towers are absolutely amazing.

Yeah, no fooling. I just wish he had made his structures so they matched up with each other. Could you imagin these all linked up into a huge display? That would be so incredible...
