Just a quick correction, G K Chesterton was not a member of the Inklings, though he was certainly a strong influence in Lewis' life. Inklings included Tolkien, Lewis, Warnie Lewis, Charles Williams, Hugo Dyson. Owen Barfield was a less regular attendee, W. H. Auden may have attended.

Sir Drake, there are tons of websites devoted to Lewis and Narnia. Into the Wardrobe is one of my favorites. Narnia.com seems to be an official site for the movie (due out next Christmas, I believe).

Josh, what other Narnia creations are in the works? I'd love to see a Dawn Treader. :D

Bruce

I think that the new viking hull would make a great starting place for the Dawn Treader because it seems to be long and thin as in the book.

Dang it, Bruce, you are right again. :) I was originally looking at a list of the Inklings and it included Chesterton. But after you posted, I looked up other sites and none of the others include him. So the one I was first looking at must be wrong.

As for other MOCs, I haven't put anything to Brick, so to speak. Just some ideas I am kicking around. Here is a list:

Ruined courtyard of Cair Paravel
Lantern Waste
The Tombs of the Kings
Dawn Treader
The Swan ship
A street scene in Tashbaan
Shasta's "fathers" hut by the sea
Rilian fighting the Green Lady

These are all cool scenes from the books and would make awesome MOCs if done well. If anyone wants to use these ideas, feel free. I am not going to have the time for a while. :?

Take care,
Josh

Great subject! C.S. Lewis is a nice change of pace from the onslaught of Tolkien MOCs seen in the past few years. While the Chronicles of Narnia are not my favorite series of books, I've always appreciated Lewis' ability to take risks with his writing. I mean, who else could get away with including Father Christmas as a pivitol character in one of their fantasies?

Awsome stuff. I'm looking forward to more in the future.

Later.
