It looks like a camaphile, a seperate bell tower for a church. I think the detail and design are quite impressive, though something about the coloring seems gaudy.

Hello!
I always had a week spot for large towers. And like this one. There are some nice building designs, in particular I like the combination of tan quadruple slope peaks and balls.
I have to agree, though, the whole structure looks somewhat busy.

(Interesting (personal) side note: When i looked at this picture: , I felt reminded on the bookshelf in my parents' home. There are some books that look exactly the same at the spine, it's a Hebrew lexicon or something the like, that my father used in his capacity as a pastor. I wondererd: might it be possible I see the same lexicon in a BrickShelf gallery again? Looking at the background of other pics I discovered more Hebrew books, so I think there is the same lexicon in Daan's bookshelf that's in my parents' bookshelf, too. End of the story, didn't want to bore you :-) )

This is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.

This works very well as a study in building designs. Tan and gray can be mingled, but this one overuses the two. I am still trying to find the right accents. I tend to use too much or too little.
Interesting observation Jojo. Variety is the spice of life. I wonder of your father may know this person, or his family? Our worls seems wonderously small at times, doesn't it?

Hi JoJo,
I only discovered your side note a few days ago (oops),
and has to say: you are a keen observer!
Aside from me building Lego and enjoying what others build
I'm a fulltime minister in the Protestant Church of the Netherlands

Excellent! I've always wondered how to use that piece in a larger building without it sticking out like a sore thumb. This answers my question. Cool.Bruce N H wrote:Hey all,

Thanks for all the comments.
It's been years ago that I build this tower.
To be honest it was the that inspired the whole construction.
And yes, seeing it again I do agree: it is too busy.
But I still remember how much fun I had composing this tower!
Nice thought to see some people find it inspiring.
