Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Jim Garrett has recently posted three studies of Meduseld, a Roman aqueduct, and the Colleseum.

It's too bad he seems to have given up on Meduseld. I think it looks excellent so far. And I must disagree with him, I think he's captured the Celtic quality quite nicely.

Keep Goin' Jim!

Oh, and the Colluseum is excellent too! :)

These are three very well concieved "studies." Has he posted completed MOCs? These show a great deal of promise. His vision outstrips his brick supply which is a common affliction for us all. Being a "fan" of classical Western culture I really appreciate the effort and planning put into these.

Actually, I don't think he's got much of a brick shortage. :P Though as he notes, that colluseum would require a huge number of arch and column pieces, so would be a huge capital outlay. Given the scope of his projects, it seems to me that he takes a lot of time planning things and purchasing the elements to complete them.

In addition to the Fisher Building mentioned above, he's also got an art museum, a Babylon 5 spaceship, a Greek temple, and Orthanc. This guy doesn't think small, and his interests range from ancient history to science fiction. Definitely a builder to watch.
