Oldie but Goodie #13: Great Eastern Wall

Post by footsteps »

No, I haven't given up hope on ObG entries. February has been a rather full month for me so some things have kind of dropped by the wayside.

This is a nice rendition of a Great Wall type of structure. While not European, it's definitely castle-ish.

Rowallan Castle is also nice. I like the way the ramp access was constructed.

I really like the way grey, black, blue, red, brown, and tan (or white - can't tell on my screen) were used to build different elements but they come together really well as the whole scene is viewed. I also like the procession, and the use of the wings as architectural elements. Eastern style building looks so simple when you see a nice piece like this one.

I like the keep as well, but the black doesn't work as well for my tastes there. Nice terrain and ramp ideas. I also like the massive archway.
Thanks for sharing this one.
Cheers

Ah, yes; here are two that I've seen before and they're great! I remember seeing Rowallan Castle right after I saw Ed Boxer's white castle.... Great stuff!
