Part II of my vignette street project (still need a better name for that). This is a barber shop!
As you may know barbers preformed surgery during the middle ages. The most common surgery was bloodletting. Barbers would put blood soaked cloths around a pole outside their shop to show their experience.
Now without further delay the gallery (which was public within minutes):

And please don't forget to check back at the project gallery often for more additions, including a modified version of my current blacksmith vig:

Sorry for the poor photos. When the project is done I’ll take some more with a brick built background.
Thanks,
DM
P.S. I'd really like to continue this project, but am low on ideas. If you have any, please let me know, thanks.

Well, that's an interesting history lesson. You did a good job with the blood.
As for ideas... Kevin Blocksidge compiled a great big huge list of exactly the type of ideas you're looking for. The alchemist might make a pretty good vignette, as might the dye mixer.
This is a pretty neat project, and it has the benefit of being nearly impossible to 'complete'. There's nothing better for idle hands than a perpetual project. (Can you say... Hearst Castle?)

This is a very good idea. I like both the barber and blacksmith... but how about building something that doesn't start with a 'B'? But if you are dead set on 'B' creations, here's a list of ideas:
-Brickmaker
-Basketweaver
-Bakery
-Bowling Alley (Ok, so its not medieval, give me a 'Break')
-Bowery
-Barrel-maker (actually would be a Cooper)
-Book binder (double 'B' there)
-Bird seller (Falconer)
-Bishop's residence
-Some from the CC page:
-Beekeeper (here's mine: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos ... /bees1.jpg and http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos ... /bees2.jpg, note the hives in picture 2)
-Butcher
-Brewery

Very nice. I really like your idea of making a whole street of vignettes. It's a pity though, that you can't fit them onto 8x8 bases.
