Credit where it's due

Post by akochan »

Saying hi... as I'm a new member... and,

Just submitted my entries for the contest (which hopefully will pass muster) and wanted to thank two builders whose work contributed to mine through inspiration and mimicry:

pghanson (Sorry don't know real name):
for the beds from his incredible Beagle model:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=63728
I used his covers and pillow design for bedding in my Tower and Tudor shop entry

and Johannes Koehler:
for the sacks from his amazing mill building:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=33123
which I used in my classic shop model.

Without their work, mine would be incomplete.

After the contest I can convert any of the models to instructions (as the rest of my Brickshelf folder already is) if there is any interest. Despite the models being done in ldraw/MLCAD/Pov-Ray I have verified the non-rarity of all the pieces in the colors I used using the Peeron database. (unlike some of the existing instructions I already did which I need to work over).

Hi Akochan,

Welcome to Classic-Castle :D

Your contest submissions look good. I look forward to see the instructions of your creations because I also make castle instructions. You should post your instructions on the Building Instructions Portal.

I also think that it is cool to give credit to other builders.
