Ode to the Dragon Master

Not a story, but the first part of an ode. Ode to the Dragon Master.

[color=red][color=darkred]From beginnings small he rose
defeating many foes
his heart he did steel
so not to feel
the pain of those whose death he chose.

His actions did cause
many a loss
of kith and kin
who had died for him
so he might learn from his flaws.

Darkness had spred
leaving many dead
in a once peaceful land
from which now joy was banned
but above the pain rose his head.

From thier falls he did see
the ways of mystery
through the mist of legend he sought
and from the mists he brought
Dragons to make those of evil heart flee.

So rose the Dragon Master
whose will spred faster
and evil did shirk
and forget its work
whilst he is lord here after. [/color][/color]
