Hey all,

They've posted an official trailer for the medieval world section of LEGO Minifigures Online.

Hey, does anyone know if you can easily embed YouTube videos in a post? I don't see how to do so without changing forum permissions, so to keep things simple here are some screencaps:

Looks like button-bashing fun. I can't imagine it's going to be any more taxing than that. If it's anything like the Marvel/Hobbit/Potter etc games then it's generally a case of smashing and building stuff until you get to the end of the level. It's the jokes and characters that make it fun, so it remains to be seen what cool new minifigs they introduce for it.

I really hope that Pieromancer isn't the rumoured wizard for CMF series 13, he looks basically like the fantasy era evil wizard with a cone hat.

Funny that it's suggested rating is 10+ (or was that just the trailer?) as I'd imagine LEGO's target audience dips a bit below that age as well.

I think it looks great. the animation, which is almost certainly the same as that of the pretty cool Chima online game, is good, and it just looks fun to play. Maybe I'll try it out after my exams are over in a few weeks.

It actually reminds me of a Playmobil knights game I used to play when I was 8 or 9. The forest areas look extremely similar, so it's quite nostalgic just to watch that trailer!

A Japanese ad for series 13 has been released. So guess the wizard isn't the pieromancer, but does have the silly cone hat. Nice printing though.

The narrator in that video sounded like the one from The Stanley Parable.
It looks like it might be a fun game, but I don't know if I'd have the time to play.

Hey all,

I know, this is a three year old thread, but I was just thinking about this in relation to a Nexo game thread. I was wondering if this was still a thing, but I see that the LEGO Minifigures Online game was shut down last fall. I actually never got it to run on my computer as it kept crashing. I suppose it helped pave the way for the Dimensions game, and once that game existed they didn't want this semi-free game as competition. One complaint, though. Back in 2013 CMFs cost US$3.00. Then in 2014 we got the Simpsons CMFs and the price jumped up to US$4.00 - we were told this was because of the cost of the license. Then when they went back to the non-Simpsons CMF's the price stayed at US$4.00 - the justification was that there was this value-added aspect that you got a code to play the new game. But now that the game is gone, did the price go back down for the non-Simpsons, non-LEGO Movie, non-Batman CMFs? Nope. Granted, I don't expect things to stay at the same price as they were four years ago, but still it feels a bit like we were jerked around on that. If they had come down to #3.50 it would have been a nice gesture.

Okay, I'll stop being grumpy and go back to playing with my series 16 Rogue. This guy's awesome.
