Convention Questions

Post by castlebuilder100 »

:?: I have a few questions about Brickfair, Brickworld, etc. First, do you have to be an adult to register? (I dont think so but I'm not sure.) Also, how many creations do you bring? :?:

It depends on the convention. I know that at BrickCon kids can register but they have to be accompanied by a registered adult. I'm not sure about Brickfair and Brickworld.

As for the number of creations...that is up to you. You can bring boxes and boxes or you can bring nothing at all or anything in between. There are no requirements as far as that is concerned.

If you can't bring much, you shouldn't be discouraged. Conventions are such great experience, you should go if you can. Don't feel intimidated if you can't bring much of anything.

Hope this helps,
Josh

I went to Brickworld last year when I was 13(sorry). Its perfect for both adults and kids.

You don't have to bring anything, or you can bring everything you have.

As long as you can transport it.

Wait, you went last year and you were 15, yet your age this year says 14. Im confused.

Any-who... If you want to attend a conventio, an adult will have to be with you if your under 18. And if you're going to Brickfair, I'll be there too! :D

You know, P.I., somehow I got the impression that you weren't only 14.

I just looked up the age requirements for attendees at Brickfair and Brickworld. You can attend if you are under 18, but I couldn't find anything that said you had to have an adult with you or not. Your best bet would be to contact the people running the convention and ask them to be sure.

I am going to BrickWorld this year, and I am only 15; my parents are only coming on the public days but I am registered. You don't have to bring any MOCs but you can if you want. When you sign up you check the boxes for MOCs that you are bringing for joint displays, and if you want to have your own table space to display your MOCs you say how much space you need, and you can also be a vendor if you want. I signed up for no table space, but just checked the boxes for the joint displays, because I don't want to have to sit at the table the whole time making sure no one takes my MOCs, but I am bringing some for the community displays. And be sure to register for the hotel, and if you call say you are with BrickWorld, or to register online use the link on BrickWorld.us cause you can get a discounted price. And bring money cause there are vendors selling sets, parts, etc and there are several local LEGO stores! Hope this helps ;)
