It is just 33% of the currently requested moc space. Many people likely have not registered their mocs yet. Still, I think it is an impressive start :D

Definitely an impressive start for castle MOCs at BrickFair. I actually had to unregister a large underwater display since I will have no way to transport it to the event with everything else that I'm bringing :(

Hey Ben I am bringing my newly remodeled skeleton tower. I am also bringing a crownie castle that is bigger than the skelie tower. (measures 30" by 40") I will be bringing my 2200 figs. We will see if there is room to set them up. I know they don't impress the AFOL crowd but the kids sure do seem to love em. Also do you think I should bring my ccc standard black falcon fortress from brickworld? Let me know.

Thanks for all of your effort,
Dale

Hi Dale,

I would say bring, and register, everything. In the past couple of years in DC, the castle display has been a bit lacking. Anything we can do to make a huge display would be great. I agree that kids, and some adults, really love viewing your armies :)

Argh! Never mind, I'll only come on Saturday (As public). So, I might bring something then, but it would be this:

MOCs: Knights Cottage (32x32 baseplate)
Landscape: Nothing as of now, will edit later
Armies: A small crownie battalion, plus some skellies, assorted orc things, and peasants! Lots of those.

So, if you have space, I will bring them on saturday.

One of the good things about relying on others to get your work done is that when they royally screw up, you're deadlines get moved back.

As such...

I will be at Brick Fair on Friday! Woot!

I'll bring me.

With the countdown for BrickFair to now just under two weeks away it's time to start finishing up models and getting things packed for transport. I spent the last couple of nights updating my castle for this year's display. All that's left now is some landscaping in the front to finish up and the custom lighting to figure out.

I'm also working on a GBC module which has finally been started. two weeks, that should be enough time, right??

How is everyone else doing in their preps for the show?

Ben - the presentations sound interesting, I'll try to make it to a couple.

Ok, a bit of an update. I've had to downgrade my plans, but here's what I know for sure I'll be bringing:

Name: Brendan Converse
Mocs: One 32x32 baseplate with a section of wall being attacked by a seige tower, one microscale castle on a 20x20 base
Landscaping: only whats on the above
Armies: Crownies, don't know exactly, perhaps a hundred or so, don't have an exact count yet

Also, the attendee from Uruguay IS from Uruguay but has been living in the DC area for the past few years. She's coming with me.

Hey, Ben! Is there going to be a certain color scheme/ uniform for the CCC walls? I'm wondering because I'm building a wall section and could probably put some flags and soldiers on it.

Apologies if this is an obvious question, but should I bring my army if they're not part of a separate moc? I don't have a ton, but I do have a fair number of guys- maybe between 100 and 150 or so. Will there be a big display of figs that everyone contributes to?

I think what I'll do is just bring everyone, and maybe during setup on friday morning I can talk to a few of you other castlers and see whats going on.
