European Classic-Castle meet 2009

Post by DNL »

We would like to have a meeting again this summer, but this time at Legoland Windsor (UK).
We have not picked a final date yet, but we were thinking about a long weekend beginning on 7-3-2009. Does anyone feel like coming? It was a lot of fun last year, and hopefully this year's meeting will be even better!

Aliencat and Meadhros aren't completely sure if they can come yet, but they will if they have enough time and money, and CastleLord will probably come as well.
It would be nice if somebody came by car, that would make things a lot easier. Aliencat said he will probably rent a car if he'll be there, but nothing is certain yet, and it would be great if someone from the UK came by car.

Please reply to this thread as soon as possible if you would like to come. As i said we haven't picked a final date yet, so if you can't come on the third or fourth of July please tell us.

I am actually considering this. That weekend is not great for me, its a holiday weekend in the US and travel is..tricky. But if I have to, I will.

Are you sure you were not thinking about 3-7 june 2009? Because it would have been strange to go on the seventh and come home on the third.
And i have to sadly say that i cannnot come  (Lousy parents :x)

That is what i mean  In the USA they write the month before the date. (7-3-2009 = 3-7(july)-2009)

The 1st-3rd weeks are fine for me in June or the same weeks in July. Let me know. I will be bringing the whole family there so I may not be able to be in one place in the park more than 45 minutes to an hour. :D

Do you plan to come only one day to go to the park, or the whole weekend? (We won't visit the park every day of course, one day is probably enough).

Anyone else who would like to come? I won't book a ticket if I'm not sure some people are coming and it would be very nice if someone would hire or take a car with him/her (i can't drive). The tickets are cheap now, but they will get more expensive later...

We will be up likely thurday or friday to saturday. B and B's in Windsor are much cheaper in the week. If anyone wants to get a look at the castle I am going to do that as well.

You're parents are smart. I'd do the same.... maybe they'd like to come along though?

Anyone else interested that can come? I have to start planning for the next few months and my days are quickly being filled in with work and life.

Well, I'll stop pretending. This simply won't happen for me. I do hope the rest of you can get something to happen though.

Maedros,

Sorry to hear you cannot make it. If people do not start getting dates they can show up here soon I will be in the same boat. Hope you are doing OK.

Well since no one has said yea or nay I think I have to say I will not be able to go to a CC meeting there at this point. I do have plans still to take the family soon but my schedule has more or less been filled now.
