So we Canadians have finally had our first national convention, Brickfete. As I've never been to a LEGO convention I must say I was quite impressed. We even managed to pull together a nice little Castle display. There were some really nice MOcs there and the participants were all fantastic. I can honestly say I'm truly looking forward to Brickfete 2012!

I've thrown up a few pictures on Flickr (I finally got around to registering an account) and on Brickshelf.

Brickfete was a great first show and a great experience.

(I'll get around to posting more photos of my castle later this week)

I always love how any event in Ontario - or maybe just Metro Toronto - is somehow a "National" event. :P

But seriously, I wish I coulda been there.

Hey,

I was just looking through your gallery. It looks like there were a lot of great creations on display. That's your big castle, right? Also, who built the Great Wall of China MOC?

Sorry about that. I tend to forget that being from Ontario is considered a bad thing everywhere else in Canada. Still, the event was great and it would have been great if you could have been there..

Hey Bruce,

Yes, the large castle is mine. I'm still in the final stages of photographing the interior rooms so it will likely be a day or two (or three) before I get a proper gallery posted. The Great wall of China was built by Simon Liu (Si-MOCs) who seemingly provided an endless supply of excellent MOCs.
