I probably will not be there, but I'm looking forward to pictures.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/patrickboi ... 907382869/ This is my shot at a guard tower (Teutonic, Imperial age). I'm not so satisfied with the tan area; feels like a dead zone to me. Maybe I'll add some intersecting wooden beams like those that are in the game. I like the way the entrance turned out, but I couldn't get the peaking windows on the slant for obvious reasons (even Legos have their restrictions :? ) but the roof in general looks pretty good to me. I may be able to be at BrickCon, but I have my doubts. This is mostly just to throw in my 2 cents. :)
If I were to make something out of LEGOs, I would probably use LEGOs. Pretty advanced stuff going on up in my head.

:twitch: I'm so doing this! Aoe2 was my first strategic game I ever played and is still in my top favorites! I don't know if I can come to BrickCon or not (will do my best), but think I'm going to make a Teutonic Archery Rang (Imperial Age, or castle age, didn't read all, but did see something about the age). Will post pic of it when I'm done!

Sounds like a great idea.

I found this gallery of a guy who did similar for ideas.

Woah! Great resource! I think ours are going to be quite a bit "better", but it's nice to see something fleshed out in brick :)

In other news, I will be busy house hunting this weekend, so I won't be able to attend the SeaLUG meeting on Saturday. Hopefully I'll make the next one, and I guess if needed we can always meet on our own sometime :D

Just gotta say, Great work Sir_Darc! :D
Great Legoifying. I really liked the way you managed to squeeze in the finer details.

And as allways, If anyone here wants pics, info or whatnot about AOEII just let me know and i'll get back to you.

BrickCon is VERY quickly approaching. Time to fire this thread back up. I'm still down to make the Teuton castle. I'm ALMOST done sorting my latest aquisitions, so I'll have room to start prototyping shortly.

I'll have to go back through this thread to see who is building what. I know we have a barracks already (if it's still intact, that is)

I still have the barracks built. I could possibly add some soldiers and background fluff, but nothing else major. I have another big, big castle project that's going to eat up most of my time & parts.

How's the layout going to be? Do we need landscaping, or keep it flat and decorate over top to fit with the game aesthetics? I probably won't have parts for full-on landscaping myself.

I am furiously working on my main project, but I am planning to build a town center and a Castle Age teutonic tower.

Can we all agree to put this project off until next year? I got such a late start on my collaborative MOC that I have had no time at all to work on this. I think Fraslund and I might make this our main project next year so that we can put enough time into it to make it as good as it deserves :)

I sadly won't come to a BrickCon, it's a bit too far away from Switzerland :raiseone:
