Calgary Highland Games 2012

Hey, back in 2012 our LUG (Southern Alberta LUG) built a display at the Calgary Highland Games. Just a little something for people to look at as they wander around the grounds. We were outdoors for the first time ever doing a show and we experienced a few different weather systems in that one day. We have a saying here in the Calgary area: "If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes." and boy that becomes so true when you're trying to protect a LEGO layout from a hail storm. Yeah, I'm not kidding. A short one but a hail storm.
One day show, Scottish theme(sort of), seven guys and one awesome time. I highly recommend checking to see if there are any highland games in your area and asking them if they'd like a display, we have had a blast the last two years and are currently planning our third display. I'll be posting about the 2013 display in a few days. I few pictures and links here:
