TWLUG display

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

TWLUG (Taiwan LUG) currently is currently putting on their "2006 Summer in Miniauture Museum of Taiwan" display. Here are pictures of the castle section posted in ytshih's BS gallery:

Note the interesting ways they've displayed a couple of the interiors - one of the houses has an open wall up against the glass, another has the roof lifted up by transparent bricks so you can see inside.

It's been a long time since I've seen a layout like this, and I love it. Displaying the house interior up against the glass is a great idea; I dunno if I can use it any time soon (), but I'll remember it in case there's ever a Lego display here that I can be a part of.

My favorite part of the display is that yellow tower in the sand; it gives the whole layout a sort of mystical feeling.

That's one magnificent tower. The colour destuingishes it from the surrounding. And OMG so many lion knights... (I know some of you guys have more figs, but it's always striking to see so many matching)

That is awesome! I would say more...but it would take tooo long. I really like it. Espeicially how they put a lot of the stuff diagonally.

Great little village here, those cottages are really cool. I like the stream and the bridge, and I love the tree (as usual). The castles and things are great too. I think I've seen that yellow tower somewhere before.... Maybe in the Yellow Castle category of CCCI or CCCII?

Oh, smcginnis, I think you're probably thinking of Nelson's Torre del Orro

Yeah, that was it, but I thought that there was more than one yellow tower.
Guess not.
