hi i an in the middle of a frenzy of making mythical characters for a (possible) game of brick quest
can anyone give me a few ideas of mythical beasts (centaurs, minotaurs etc. etc.)

Well my favorite mythical creature is a dragon, but unicorns and fairies are pretty easy to make! But your mythical creature project sounds pretty cool! Good luck creating!

Ah, I know there’s more, but I’m coming up blank here.
On a related subject, those medieval bestiaries are interesting to read. I can’t think of one other instance where a dragon’s strength has been depicted in his tail versus his teeth. Never seen the elephant/dragon feud depicted ether, for that matter.
Also of interest to me is the selection of creatures that have received publicity in the works of modern authors. Tolkien took trolls, orks and dragons. Rowling did hippogriffs and Lewis did just about everything else from the Greeks. Fairies, gryphons and unicorns have had popularity as well… and yet, some beasts just aren’t used.
The
Leucrota for example. Why not? Is it too dull for writers to use or something? Beats me. Others, however, are a little more understandable in their absence. The
Bonnacon for example.
