Does anyone have names (and pics) of the "Wonders" from Age of Empires II?

Thanks,

Hmm i took a look but i couldn't find any helpful links, anyway, you might also want to take a look at the other ensemble studio's games' wonders (Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, and their expansion packs), I might be buidling Ankor (what) sometime (since that hasn't been done too much yet), which is also a wonder in RoN.

There have been threads on this in http://aok.heavengames.com but I only remember a few. This includes some of the civilizations from The Conquerors expansion.

Turks: Hagia Sophia
Chinese: Temple of Heaven
Huns: Roman Arch
Mongols: Great Yurt
Koreans: Buddhist Pagoda
Aztechs: Templo Mayor
Spanish: Tour de Oro
Goths: Theodoric the Goth's Mausoleum

Wasn't the Hagia Sophia Byzantine, and the Roman Arch has got to be Roman (or am I missing the point). Also, I know this is just a typo: but Aztechs is funny!

Romans are not in AOE II.

I was referring to the BUILDERS, not to the games they occurred in. Not that it matters. :D

Yeah that's a bit weird, but since the huns don't really have an architecture since they're mainly nomad, this arch (which is a bit ruined by the way) may be a trophy for the Huns conquering the Romans.

The English one was just called Cathedral i believe, and didn't the French have the Notre Dame?

Umm... do you have the AOE II expansion pack THE CONQUERORS? The Hun's wonder is a Roman arch with tons of raided gold and other loot piled beneath the arch way. The Byzantines played the part of the late Roman empire in the Attila the Hun campaign.

The added civilizations were:
Huns
Spanish
Mayans
Aztechs
Koreans

The Aztech' wonder is translated as the Great Temple, which was in the middle of Tenochitlan, their capital city, now present day Mexico City. Anyhow the Aztechs performed their daily blood sacrifices to their gods upon the top of the Great Temple.

Just remembered... Mayans have the "Jaguar Temple"

Your right, the Hagia Sophia is the Byzantine wonder while the Turkish one is the "The Blue Mosque" which looks much like the Hagia Sophia. No doubt built after their conquest of Constantinople and renaming it as Istanbul.
