If you lived in castle times...
...and you had an option, what rank would you choose (ie, King, Blacksmith, Wizard).
Personally, I'd be a knight. It seems like fun!

I voted other. I would have loved to be a royal assassin. A poisoners work is never done. The idea for the vocation of royal assassin was entirely stolen from The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. Not from any real desire to poison people.

1st choice: Pagan god (they have more fun).
2nd: Wizard.
3: Assuming the first two are unrealistic or if wizards are burned at the stake or we are talking about actual medieval societies: Artisan. Armorer, manuscript illustrator, sculptor, architect, doesn't matter.
Oh hey! Four more posts and I get wish #3 at least. On my birthday, too!

My choice goes to peasant! King, oh yeah, thats fun, untill your contry finds out you wern't apointed by god and they kill you! Knight, yeah thats fun, Untill that crazy king sends you to battle against the scottish(or some other battle you could not win) So I had the good choice. The choice to live.

At first I thought "knight, of course!". But then I realized that "Other" would make more sense. My sigfig has armor and a great-helm, but he is not a knight; that is, he does not have the rank. He is a freelance swordsman, and that's also what I play when I play that I'm something in the medieval time-period. So, other it is, meaning professional freelance swordsman.

Voting for knight/soldier would be kind of very stupid, as you would be killed very quickly. And not in a nice way .
But as you wish
I voted "other".
Just because I don't want to be one of the other choices.
I'd want to be a wise person. Maybe a teacher or an inventor, something like that. If that wouldn't work out, a musician/writer/storyteller.

Ummmmmm, errrrrrr, (reading sigmessage) I thought you'd want to be Queen. Oh, I see, you are already. My mistake.
And speaking of that, the poll was a bit male oriented.

Actually the topic is not "Knight" it is "Knight/Soldier" So you could have taken that option after all.Mr. D wrote:At first I thought "knight, of course!". I would like to be a Knight-General, who leads the troops into battle, no boring peasant stuff for me!
