BL Run on Parts

Post by ACPin »

Have you seen this happen before? It's already happened to me several times as I recall whenever there's an MOC that uses an otherwise useless/lame part that really looks good. BL would have that part dirt cheap and plentiful before the MOC and then suddenly the part becomes scarce and expensive.

I know that before the Theed Palace Hallway was posted, the tan solid pillar was cheap and plentiful (one store had hundreds of them). A week or so after posting, they're gone!

And I was about to order some for another MOC that I was planning for. Oh well, I sure hope to see a lot of MOCs using these parts in the near future. *You know who you are. *

Ha. I know what you mean. I was looking on BL one week and saw pointed Lgray visors dirt cheap for 50 cents. I didn't get aound to asking my parents if I could buy until three or four days later. They agreed since it was a fair price thenI got on BL and saw that the visors had gone up $1.00 a piece. And of courese my parents said I couldn't buy any. Well that's my sad sad story.

Yeah I know what your talking about. I was going to bid on a 6057, but thought it would go for to much. Just like all had done in the past, so I didnt bid. I found out later that it only went for $11.00! I am so mad!

I tend to think that mocs by ACPin do not, infact, drive the LEGO market.

That's true! If it wasn't, I'd make tons of money by buying and reselling the parts. :P It was probably just a coincidence that it happened, but I was really just venting about it.

Any other missed opportunities?

I once wanted to do a group order from Bricks4you when he had his 50% sale, and wanted to get some bread. I left for half an hour and the bread was gone! 400 loaves of it! Oh well, I still got 20 light grey Euro visors for $0.35, and latticed windows for $0.20! :D

89 cents. You are soooooo mean. I can't spend money on legos right now. I should stop looking at the buy/sell/trade section from now on.
