What is the cheapest way to get hold of chrome legs and torso assemblies, guys?

I hate to hunt down storm trooper figs.

I think that is your only chance. They've only chromed two figs right? Vader and the Troopers?

ChromeBricks might do minifigs: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=ChromeBricks.

And C3PO, in Chrome Gold. The Stormtrooper is Chrome Silver, and Vader is Chrome Black.

But given that they're all Star Wars, and somewhat rare to boot, you may have a hard time finding them without digging deep in your wallet.

Exactly. It would be very expensive. I left out C3P0 since he was gold-colored which I don't really consider "chrome". Ironically, its the only one of those three figs that I have.

I was referring to this one, which is chrome gold, as opposed to the more common pearl gold one.

Edit: After replying, I think I take your meaning. You were meaning chrome as color, not simply as metallic or a method of metallic plating. So only "silvery" colors are chrome. That makes sense; I'm just so used to referring to all the "chromed" pieces as "chrome" that I didn't even think about it.

That is what I meant, but it doesn't matter what I think, only what the original poster intended. Sorry for being vague, but I was referring to the gold-chrome 3p0. I have both the gold and the pearl-gold versions. I think of him as gold rather than chrome, but Bricklink doesn't agree with me either. :D

I really should change my ways, since there actually were 5 gold ones made.
