Bricktober Figs at Toys R Us

Post by porschecm2 »

As usual, Toys R Us is doing a special Bricktober promotion for the month of October. This year, it's a series of 4 magnetic classic minifigs, the fourth of which appears to be a classic castle soldier. Each will be free with any Lego purchase over $20. I love that they're releasing these, but I hate that I'm going to have to spend >$80 to get them. At least until 10/09/10, most Lego is 30% off at TRU.

[update] All four figs can be viewed here. The castle fig is a Black Falcon.

I am moving this thread to Buy/Sell/Trade as it is more appropriate there. When the castle figure is released, we can start a thread reviewing that set. Thanks.

Are the magnet figs similarly constructed as the keychain figs? Or can you take these apart?

Too bad it'll be so expensive to army build these guys.... :(

Ah, my bad. I thought since it was an official upcoming castle set(/figure) it would go in the Castle sets. Oh well. :)

Magnet figures can be taken apart. These four figures have been featured recently in the Vintage Minifigure packs. The exclusive part of these sets are the bricktober printed 2x4 tiles and the polybag packaging.

TRU is also running this deal online.

I've heard somewhere, actually from someone on EuroBricks, that these were for sale online at TRU for US $1.99. Can anyone confirm this?

I haven't heard anything else, and I don't know if this is just a rumor, so please do NOT quote me on this.

They were on TRU.com. I believe you could only get one per $20 order.

Okay, thank you for the info, Ben.

I made a couple of purchases this week and got a couple of the exclusives. I wonder if TRU will allow me to trade these for the ones later this month?
