Here's my price breakdown, I followed the same procedure as Sschmidt.
1st pick: #55-128 Light Bluish Gray Brick 1 x 2 ($8.96).
2nd pick: #78-16 Pearl Dark Gray Minifig, Shield Broad with Spiked Bottom and Cutout Corner ($11.20
3rd pick: #42-16 Dark Brown Torso LotR Leather Armor with Buckle Pattern (Uruk-hai) / Dark Red Arms / Dark Bluish Gray Hands($11.36)
4th pick: #60-16 Light Bluish Gray Brick, Arch 1 x 3 ($1.44)
5th pick: #54-40 Light Bluish Gray Brick 1 x 1 ($1.60)
6th pick: #90-8 Reddish Brown Minifig, Arrow Quiver ($2.64)
7th pick: #102-8 Reddish Brown Tile 2 x 4 ($0.80)
8th pick: #88-24 Reddish Brown Cone 1 x 1 with Top Groove ($0.24)
9th pick: #7-8 Black Slope 30 1 x 2 x 2/3 ($0.32)
10th pick: #65-8 Light Bluish Gray Plate 1 x 6 ($0.40)
11th pick: #85-8 Reddish Brown Brick 1 x 2 ($0.16)
12th pick: #9-8 Black Slope 45 2 x 2 ($0.24)
13th pick: #72-16 Light Bluish Gray Technic, Pin 1/2 with 2L Bar Extension (Flick Missile)($0.16)

Total of $39.52
As Sschmidt said, it's not only about BL prices, but about how much you value a piece. This is quite obvious as my second and third picks were both "more valuable" than my first :)

Interesting results, guys!

I'm not going to look up / post a breakdown of my draft results, for a couple of reasons:
1) I am happy with what I got, and so I'd rather not have a dollar value to "compare" my draft with someone else's
2) Even if I ended up with the "best" draft in terms of "dollar value", I don't want to make someone else feel bad because their draft "wasn't worth as much".

You guys are all welcome to post your results if you like, this is just my personal opinion on doing it myself.

That is absolutely insane to me. I definitely agree that I'd value them much closer to $0.50 each.

Is anyone (who drafted) interested in adding one of the new Castle Kings to their order? I was going to get one from BrickLink but they have 8 in stock, so if you want me to wait to ship your loot and add a king for $10 (includes shipping), I can order extras for people.

Here is the link. He's a really cool fig, and only comes in the $100 castle set that most people aren't interested in buying due to the large number of panels:

Let me know, either way!

Thanks for asking AK but I'll pass. He's a great looking figure but I'm saving for other things.

I appreciate the offer AK, but I plan on getting the castle soon enough.

Thanks enough!

He's a pretty neat looking figure, but I am going to also pass. Appreciate the offer, nonetheless.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the parts draft photo is now public, if you're interested in seeing how I ran it, for future drafts. :)

Gents if this draft is done. I'd like to lock the thread and move on. Thank you.

Is there a particular reason it has to be locked just yet? The drafting has been completed, but I was considering posting a photo of my loot, as others in this thread and simply in general have done on these boards, once I was able.

And again, while the event has been completed, I can't imagine there's any timeline on its afterlife given the previous Jambalaya ended a quarter of a year ago and is still open for people to continue posting, "I wish I was in on this."

If loot photos associated with this draft should be posted elsewhere, please let me know. I just feel like I am missing something.

The purpose of this thread was for the draft. It is completed, therefore it should now be concluded. There is no further reason for discussion. The other thread was not locked...yet because the discussion had ended. I could be easily locked as this one. Please refer to the posting on the top of this forum for some guidelines about what is to be posted in this forum.

Here's all my draft picks and the loot I left with. Some great choices I think, and lots of mass elements to experiments with! Big thank-you to AK Brickster for running and orgasnising the whole thing, it was a great! :)

sidenote- I see no reason for the thread to be locked either. The draft pick is complete certainly, but there's more discussion to be had from both the participants and the people wishing to for the next one. Some posters may have not encountered the idea before for instance, and surely it is a courtesy requirement for us all to check-in now that it's over and say that we've received our parcels? As an oft- comparison, once the deadline for CCC has been met and people have finished building that doesn't lock and stop the chatter in the relevant threads there, so as an event too i'm not sure why this should be the case here either.

Discussion forums should be for discussion whatever the subforum.
