just Picked up 2 Mines of moria sets for $54, they had one more but all we could afford was the 2. Also found Some series 9 Minifigs still on the shelf at a local target.

Yeah there are still some sets lingering around my Walmart.

My Walmart still has Moria for 54 and Weathertop for 40.

I would also like to remind everyone of what most of you probably saw on toysnbricks (some of you may not frequent there).
It appears that Target has the Pirate Ship Ambush on sale for $69.99.
I don't know if this one will go the same route as the Goblin King and stay at a significantly lower MSRP than planned, but I don't particularly want to chance it. If I can get that set for 30 off (with an additional 5% for redcard) I don't want to chance waiting for a lower price.

Just wanted to note that my local Wal-Mart put the unsold items from this clearance onto a deeper clearance recently:

Attack of the Wargs for $20
Unexpected Gathering for $35

Might be worth a look if you're near a Wal-Mart.

I wish our Wal-Mart had those sales, the nearest one to me had:

Garmatron $30
Various SW battle packs for $10
Hero Factory packs for $9
And some random small city sets

They had the Quinjet for $30, but they sold out pretty quick. Otherwise nothing that great, sadly.

I only bought two of the Warg set. Thinking that was a poor life choice, I went back today. Nothing, not even price tags on the shelf. They were so completely gone that I assumed they were not purchased, but rather moved or packed away. An employee explained that they were boxed up and sent back to LEGO.

I wish I had the sense to buy more when the good deals were right in my face.

I have a simple motto when I see items like that, whether they are on sale or priced more than I want to pay. The motto is, "buy it now or forever hold your peace." If I don't buy that item, I make sure that I'm happy or at least good with never seeing the item again. Some of the Wal-Marts, Targets, TRUs I have lived near were in big cities with plenty of people to buy the item before I got back to the store. Some things I have a standing order to buy period, like Castle "polybags", as I hardly ever see them in my Wal-Mart. I can find uses for them later. For me, even thought I check my local Wal-Mart/Target multiple times a week, finding LEGO Castle on sale is like the quest for the Grail.

I would rather buy way too much than not enough. You can always resell what you don't want. I will usually overbuy (my 18 cups on pick a brick is prime example) and if it turns out I don't want everything I purchased, I will either sell or trade the leftover away.

I recently cleared out a bunch of LEGO on ebay and plan to do so again this month.

Lol ok guys I will keep that in mind! I would remind you all that KMART has their 50% off clearance toys right now. Ours was bled dry, but I managed to find a Hobbit Mirkwood Elf set for $14.00 (plus $5 in reward points that I have). Needless to say, getting that set for $9.00. Well I am pretty happy :D

"Mirkwood Elf Set"? Do you mean Mirkwood Spiders? Or the set with the Mirkwood elf polybag fig, which is Barrel Escape? (Guessing the former - good deal, at any rate!)

I have yet to visit my nearest Kmart again with the sale going, but I doubt anything good will be left... :tasty:

The Barrel Escape is a TRU exclusive, so it wouldn't be that. I should've clarified, my bad!
It is the spider Escape set as you mentioned AK.

I believe I can get $14.00 (if not more) for the 4 figs, so that just nets a positive bonus for the remaining pieces (some of which are those nice, dark red leaves :eyebrows: )

EDIT*** BTW, Blue if we are taking this off-topic by mentioning other store specific sales, please let me know! I figured it may just be as well to post store-specific sales in this thread, rather than make a new one every few days or so. If this, however, is off-topic, I will gladly stop posting finds and sales for other CC'ers to find for their collection. :)

Would also add that Amazon currently has the LOTR Pirate ship marked down to $89.00 Not a huge deal, but $11 off is better than MSRP.

The Escape from Mirkwood Spider set is $23.xx. Not a huge deal either compared to what has been found, but maybe enough for someone who is interested.

Other sets of interest that are off MSRP are, IMO

Ninjago Kai's Fire Mech - $8.55 (not a terribly great deal, but this was one of my favorite Ninjago sets and it has a lot of cool pieces with two good minifigures.
LOTR Mines of Moria - $62.99
Hobbit Unexpected Gathering - $55.xx (I've not seen it cheaper than $49.00)
Attack of the Wargs - $39.xx
New King's Castle - $93.15 (cheapest I have seen it WITHOUT a coupon)

As previously mentioned, these aren't the best deals, but are some MSRP off and maybe something you are slightly interested. However, I would encourage you to shop around because you can probably find much better deals. However, if you can't wait, something here might be what you want now.
