Just an FYI YoYo.com Has gotten wise to the stacking of codes. will no longer accept both the codes. You either get 20% off, or free shipping with no minimum for 3 months. you can how ever order $35 or more and get free shipping. so its up to us.

Sets on the way you should have them on Thursday.

For our last draft, the draft sign-up started on June 24, and the final pick was made on July 24 (I believe).
It took us 3 full weeks to draft every item. When you do these, people have obligations, real life events come up, etc. Sometimes it would a person over a day to make one pick because they were so busy with real life (it happened to me once). My son was born, and I was making draft picks from the hospital on an iPad when I had some free time. It just really varies on how quickly (or slowly) these drafts go.

Having said. I think having this finished before the end of September would really be pushing it. It is possible, but I would not count on it. Let us know if you want to participate anyway, and we will write you in.

Our host said that he would be following AK_Brickster's rules which state that each fig will be split up into heads, torsos, legs, etc so a draft pick could be Frodo's hair for example.

Gurusql has stated correctly. Minifigs will be divided up by parts.
The only exception to this will be Arwen. Due to the complexity of her torso and dress, these two pieces will go together.

Also, rather than draft the sticker sheets, each participant will get one.
Other than that, there is nothing else worth noting. Tomorrow I will begin working on the spreadsheet of lot breakdown and post it here.

On another note, there is still room for one more participant :)

I'm not participating, but just to clarify, Arwen's torso and skirt would go together, but then that pile would be divided into two picks, correct?

PS - in my LUG, we almost always draft the stickers as a lot. Some people really like stickers, others could care less. If someone wants their sticker sheet at the end, they can always work a trade out. Just my 2-cents as an experienced drafter :)

The only thing I'd suggest keeping your own of is the brick separator. Not many people (castle builders, especially - some sci-fi FOLs find building uses for them) have any need for a dozen of those ;)

That would be my vote. I also like including the stickers as a lot.

I suppose I should have added that past convention really holds no sway in a draft. As long as everyone is happy with the rules prior to the start, you can do whatever you like! Those were just my suggestions / observations. I'll likely be following your progress once you get started, as I'm curious to see how people prioritize the parts for this set, having already drafted it once myself :)

If everyone is in agreement, than we can draft the stickers if you would like.

The Arwen lot breakdown would look like this.

LOT A = 4 Arwen Torsos and 4 Arwen dress slopes
LOT B = 4 Arwen Torsos and 4 Arwen dress slopes

IN other news, 4 of the 7 purchased sets have arrived so far. I'm getting anxious! If you guys want to, we can do a couple of different things.

1.) No one else has signed up for the 8th spot yet, so we can proceed to draft with 7 (one of the Arwen lots would have 3 opposed to 4).
2.) We can wait and hope someone enters in the last spot and give them time to purchase and ship another set (at this rate, the shipment would not arrive until early next week).
3.) More money, but each one of you 6 can paypal me $3.50 and I can order another Council of Elrond set and have it shipped to my home and the 7 of us can draft 8 sets for an even number.

I figured most would go against option 3 as it throws in a few more bucks, but I did want to include it just in case.

Let me know what everyone wants to do.

I would recommend setting a deadline ( something like today) for someone (cough AK :eyebrows:) to sign up if that does not happen I would prefer to go with the seven sets but would not object if the majority wanted to get an 8th.

Having the stickers as a lot it fine with me.

Are there any other lots that you are thinking of splitting or a otherwise making a adjustment to? :eyebrows:

I don't see any other pieces causing problems.
Like it has been mentioned, the general thought was to give everyone a brick separator in their lot.

I would recommend each participant print out the pieces of the set (can be found on Bricklink) and to familiarize yourself with the set and what pieces you want.

I think if we don't have the 8th by a particular deadline (we will do tomorrow evening, to give ample time) we can start with 7. That means one less of each piece, but also means more picks for each of us. :eyebrows:

I actually got two in order to get the free shipping. They just arrived and I was going to get into the mail to you tomorrow. If you like I can send you both sets and we can work out the repayment later. Would save some time. It would allow us to draft 8 sets with 7 people.

I will check back before I send it to see what you think.
