LEGO Store Promos

Post by rogue27 »

June 2016: Spend $75 and receive 40221 Fountain for free.

It's not castle themed, but that statue is pretty medieval looking and it seems like a wonderful promo. Lots of great parts like the gold frogs, dog, bike, flower pot, grey ridged cylinders, large macaronis, etc.

Promo is available until June 15 or while supplies last. In my experience, the supplies typically don't last very long. I recommend acting soon if this interests you.

July 2016: Spend $50 and receive D2C Minifigure Retro Set 2016 (5004419)

Promo is live now and runs through July 10th, or while supplies last. This is a remake of 6012 Siege Cart / Ballista which was my very first Castle set back in 1986.

It is interesting that they are using a lot of newer parts to simplify the build, but they retained the brick-built barrel from the original. Only one minifigure this time, but it's still pretty great for a free set. It also includes a sticker sheet and booklet featuring knight designs throughout the years.

It appears that "Knights" is now the official name for the "Castle" theme.
